Pity

I think that the man deserves pity, because i don't think that he really knew what he was getting into when he joined the Hitler Youth, because it says "My uncle had such exciting tales to tell of the war in russia, how they had driven ivan into the Masurian Lakes. So he really just wanted to fight and be in combat, and do things that his uncle did when he was war, so thats why he joined hitler youth. Another is "I wanted to play my part in that sort of thing" here he was saying that he just wanted to do the same thing as his uncle, and he probably didnt realize at the time that he would be killing innocent people, instead of fighting russians.

Forgiveness

I do not think that Joseph Kony should be forgiven. There's no reason children should be treated this way. Theres a fine line between mean and just being downright cruel to innocent children. Forcing them to be soldiers, sex slaves, and kidnapping them. Those acts dont deserve forgiveness in my opinion, and im sure other people feel the same way too.

The Silent Man

The street corner looked like a zoo

Overflowing with homeless, and the needy

A man holding out a can to the woman for money

The woman then starts frantically digging through her purse

As the man waits for what seems like a lifetime

The woman finally comes up with a handful of coins

He accepts the offering silently

Then walks off into the distance waving to the woman

Independence Bell

The Independence Bell which is located in front of the county courthouse was manufactured in 1858! The Bell was used to call local citizens to town gatherings, meetings, and even warned them of dangers coming toward Batesville. The bell has a very smooth and cold touch to it, it also has that kind of old feel to it. The bell has chains around it, because it's really just to look at. The bell is located on Main street, so as your looking at it you can hear the sounds of all the cars, people talking, and the smell of the freshly cooked food coming from the nearby restaurants which you can almost taste!

Advertisement Analysis

  This is a very cheerful scene, and a persuasive advertisement, because they put the happy little girl on the front, they can easily get someones attention. By just looking at the ad you can tell that the tone is upity/cheerful, because of the happy little girl on the front with her raising her hand high ready to answer. In the advertisement you can clearly see that the little girl is the only one trying, and is confident about her answer, while the other kid dosen't try at all. You can easily tell that the advertisement takes place in a classroom, because there are desks, textbooks, and globes in the background. As you can see the advertisement is clearly trying to sell greetings cards.
