Hurricane Season

Hurricane Season

In this article West is explaining what huricane season is, and what factors cause huricane season to occur every year. His is idea is to inform the reader of exactly what hurricane season is. Hurricanes, a severe tropical storm with torrential rain and extremely strong winds, can be very dangerous, and are capable of sometimes very severe damage depending on the category of the hurricane.

Hurricanes don't just start out as hurricanes, West states that "As the storm builds from thunderstorm to hurricane, it passes through three distinct stages based on wind speed" they go through 3 stages with the first one being a tropical depression, then advancing to a tropical storm, and then lastly a hurricane.
Most probably wonder why durring these months is a perfect time for hurricanes to form? It's because the temperatures are high (hot)  which also makes the water warm too. These are the two keyfactors involved in the creation of a hurricane, along with the help of high speed winds.

Hurricane season isn't really a problem for us that live in the inner states, but for those who live on coast lines, it's a nightmare. I couldn't imagine having to deal with these types of storms, because of the high level of damage it brings with it. The season begins on June 1st and goes all the way through November 30th for the Atlantic ocean, and May 15th through November 30th for the Pacific ocean.

All in all hurricane season occurs around the same time every year, and consists of tropical storms that start out in the middle of the ocean and make their way to landfall where they start to cause damage with it's high winds, water, and everything else.
